+ Abilities: Arukess can see heat, rather than colour, and is quite good at sensing his surroundings as a result. He can comprehend and communicate fluently in the insectoid languages, but is unable to communicate by using pheromonal commands. However, Aru' can understand such commands given to him.

+ Personality: Arukess is a clever, critical, and particularly malicious little dragonet. He takes the aggression known to his kind to an extreme. He knows what he wants, and he will get it, whether it means risking lives or worlds in the process. Like many others, he could be an elite within his class, if it were not for that greed, which gives him nearly a complete disregard for chain of command. The only thing he's not willing to sacrifice is, of course, Vrar'mle. He has a deep love, if not direct fascination with his bond. She may ask why, but his answers are always strange and somewhat indirect, never giving the real details which he loves or desires, just the broad scope.
<< I admire your purity...The intelligence you're gaining...What you have become. >> The only logical translation is that he just loves Vrar, plain and simple. One can never get more than that out of him.
He is not particularly brave, but he is a fighter. For him, it's not the glory, the valor, or the service, but rather some sadistic pleasure he finds in the killing of his enemies. Where Vrar'mle collects bits of armor, he may collect bones or body parts, and eventually, like his bond, he may take to wearing them.
Even when he does fight, it is not direct. He will suddenly disappear from Vrar's side to leapt from a hiding place onto the foe. He will repeat this, finding places to ambush and sneak attack until the numbers are low enough for his liking. Arukess uses speed over strength.
In mating, he tends to have little interest, unless his bond offers herself. After all, to show attention to another female would take attention from Vrar, his ideal member of the opposite sex, and/or the queen, the idol and master of the hive.

You will bring me food... >> The ending question is hidden with his tone and he pauses, as if searching for something, before a warm feeling of acceptance and joy rushes over you. << Yes. And you will tell me all about your kind. I wish to know. Come, Vrar'mle, time grows thin. >>

+ Basis: Arukess is based loosely off of Ash from the movie 'Alien'. (The name stems from his original personality idea of being combined with Burke, but I decided against this.)
